IBM i Developer

IDR is seeking an IBM i Developer to join one of their top clients in Dallas, TX. This role offers the opportunity to work within a large organization and contribute to a team-oriented culture. Key responsibilities include:

• Working with Infinite i to enable IBM i applications to run on Linux
• Troubleshooting complex production issues
• Performing IBM i administration
• Ensuring the stability and performance of enterprise applications

The client is currently replacing/improving a legacy ERP system for financial data, which has been migrated to Linux but is not functioning optimally. Additional support is needed to help improve and debug issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with IBM I (AS/400) development/administration
• 3+ years of experience with RPG programming
• Hands-on experience working with Linux servers
• Understanding of Data Description Specifications (DDS) - legacy database files, display files (screens), and printer files for maintaining older application
• Experience working with Financial/ERP software
• Infinium experience (a huge plus)
