Accountabilities
- Designing, building, testing, and deploying integration flows using IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
- Developing and maintaining EDI workflows, mappings, transformations, and application integrations.
- Creating and optimizing DFDL schemas to parse and serialize complex data formats, including custom text, CSV, fixed-width, and legacy binary files.
- Building message flows that transform proprietary or unstructured data formats into standardized XML or JSON structures and vice versa.
- Integrating modern applications with legacy systems, including processing industry-specific messages such as EDI, SWIFT, and HL7.
- Working with EDI standards including X12, EDIFACT, and TRADACOMS, along with communication protocols such as AS2, FTP/SFTP, and HTTP/S.
- Performing data transformation, routing, scripting, debugging, monitoring, and error handling of integration workflows.
- Investigating and resolving production issues through root-cause analysis, including parser errors, schema validation problems, and runtime performance challenges.
- Creating clear technical documentation covering workflows, mappings, integration processes, and solutions.
- Collaborating with clients, business analysts, architects, and development teams to deliver reliable integration outcomes.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience developing with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) versions 11 and 12.
- Strong experience with DFDL schema creation, maintenance, testing, and debugging using IBM ACE Toolkit.
- Proven ability to work with regular expressions, multi-format messages, variable-length records, and complex data parsing scenarios.
- Strong knowledge of ESQL, mapping nodes, XML Schema (XSD), and enterprise messaging protocols including MQ, HTTP, REST, and SOAP.
- Experience with EDI standards such as X12, EDIFACT, CSV, XML, and JSON.
- Experience with data mapping, transformation logic, routing, and integration troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industry messaging standards such as SWIFT or HL7 is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing priorities and delivering high-quality solutions.
