About the role
This is a direct W2 contract position based in Albany, NY, offering career growth within an established and well-respected organization. The role involves technical design, development, maintenance, and end-user support of tax/audit systems for government clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage Choreography and Orchestration processes using IBM WebSphere Process Server (WPS), IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA/BAW), and IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I).
- Design, develop, and manage Business Rules Architecture, including Rules Entry UI, Portable Runtime Engine, WPS deployment, Decision Services, and Automation Decision Services (ADS).
- Develop SOA components using J2EE technologies such as JMS, CTG, IBM EAD4J, JADE, Spring Framework, BPEL, and IBM SCA/SDO.
- Perform system analysis and design for multi-tier transactional systems, including preparation of technical documentation for complex component-based systems.
- Develop and maintain Java applications in an IBM environment using IBM Rational Application Developer (RAD), WebSphere Integration Developer (WID), WebSphere Application Server (WAS), and WebSphere Process Server (WPS).
- Implement and manage Java Messaging Services, including IBM MQ Series and IBM CP4I MQ.
- Work with IBM DB2 for data modeling, logical data models, SQL, and database/application performance tuning.
- Develop and deploy microservices using Red Hat OpenShift.
- Utilize DevOps tools including Jenkins, GitLab, JFrog, and Elastic for development and deployment processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience working with a Government Taxation or Audit organization, including technical design, development, maintenance, and end-user support of tax/audit systems.
- 7+ years of experience designing Choreography and Orchestration processes using IBM WebSphere Process Server (WPS), IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA/BAW), and IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I).
- 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and managing Business Rules Architecture, including Rules Entry UI, Portable Runtime Engine, WPS deployment, Decision Services, and Automation Decision Services (ADS).
- 7+ years of experience with SOA Component Development Architecture using J2EE technologies (JMS, CTG, IBM EAD4J, JADE, Spring Framework, BPEL, IBM SCA/SDO).
- 7+ years of system analysis and design experience for multi-tier transactional systems, including preparation of technical documentation.
- 7+ years of Java programming experience in an IBM development environment (IBM Rational Application Developer, WebSphere Integration Developer, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Process Server).
- 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Microservices Architecture.
- 7+ years of experience with Java Messaging Services, including IBM MQ Series and IBM CP4I MQ.
- 7+ years of experience with IBM DB2, including data modeling, logical data models, SQL, and performance tuning.
