Developer Advocate & Partnerships (DevRel)
Manufact (YC S25) · San Francisco, CA · 2 wk ago
HybridEngineering$100k–$160k/yrFull-time
About the role
This role blends technical storytelling with building real integrations and real relationships across the AI dev-tools ecosystem. One week you're shipping a demo that connects the mcp-use SDK or Manufact Cloud to a partner's product, the next you're on stage at a meetup, then writing the blog post and docs that make it all land. You'll run several efforts in parallel and set the pace yourself.
Responsibilities
- Identify collaboration opportunities with other dev tools and AI infra companies, reach out, and drive each one from first conversation to shipped result.
- Create and publish technical content across formats: videos, demos, GitHub examples, blog posts, and docs.
- Move multiple partnership and content efforts forward at once, owning the timeline for each.
- Collaborate with engineering and marketing to shape how we position technical features and communicate product value.
- Represent Manufact at technical conferences, meetups, and podcasts, and bring developer feedback back to the team.
- Help define and evolve our developer-facing voice, presence, and community strategy as we scale.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals. You're comfortable building demos, integrations, and lightweight apps on your own.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication. You can make complex technical topics clear and compelling.
- Comfortable creating content across written, video, and live formats.
- Self-directed. You can run several workstreams in parallel without being managed.
Qualifications
- You've used the mcp-use SDK / tried Manufact before applying.
- Hands-on experience with MCP, agents, or generative AI. Contributions to modelcontextprotocol/* or MCP servers you've built are a strong signal.
- Existing credibility in developer communities (active on X/GitHub, a personal blog, OSS you maintain, talks you've given).
- Experience running partnerships, integrations, or co-marketing with other companies.
- Prior developer advocacy, DevRel, or developer-facing engineering experience.
Skills
Strong software engineering fundamentals, exceptional written and verbal communication, and ability to create content across various formats.
