Dev Sec Ops Engineer

About the role

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems and processes to protect company assets. Works closely with development teams to ensure security controls are integrated into software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
• Perform security assessments and penetration testing
• Implement and monitor security controls
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security measures into projects
• Respond to security incidents and perform incident response activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in IT security, preferably in a corporate environment
• CISSP certification preferred
• Experience with network security, application security, and cloud security
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of common security tools and technologies
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or OWASP
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)

Skills

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with security automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
