About the Role
Join NorthStar Anesthesia as the Medical Director at Detroit Medical Center Harper Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, MI. This full-time, W2 opportunity offers leadership in a supportive environment with a strong culture. The role oversees 25 rooms daily under a medical direction model at a Level 2 Trauma Hospital.
Cases include orthopedic, neuro, neurovascular, cardiac, thoracic, OB (tertiary high-risk OB referral center), general, ophthalmology, urology, ENT, and oncology.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between NorthStar, hospital administration, and anesthesia staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to support medical staff services.
- Provide medical leadership, clinical oversight, and patient care for the anesthesia department.
- Set clinical objectives and uphold patient care standards.
- Collaborate with physician leadership to foster excellence and teamwork.
- Mentor and support professional growth among anesthesia staff.
- Drive improvement in patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- ABA/AOBA certification and state licensing required.
- Proven ability to inspire teams and collaborate effectively.
- Strong understanding of anesthesia business.
