Detox Nurse

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of clients in detox and residential levels of care.
• Administer medications, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment), as prescribed.
• Monitor clients for withdrawal symptoms and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide education and support to clients regarding their treatment and recovery process.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
• Uphold infection control and safety protocols within the facility.
• Maintain a compassionate and professional approach when interacting with clients in crisis.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of Massachusetts (active and in good standing).
• Experience in detox, substance abuse treatment, or behavioral health preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong assessment, communication, and crisis intervention skills.
• Knowledge of detox protocols, withdrawal management, and MAT preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
