Responsibilities

  • Provide supervisory oversight for a group(s) of detailers, including training, coordinating work (with Project Manager Lead if necessary), ensuring job standards are followed, and work is on schedule and within budget.
  • Adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s safety programs and standards.
  • Train and supervise detailers, review their work, assist with reported difficulties, and identify ways to correct deficiencies.
  • Reassess detailing techniques, recommend integrated, cost-effective solutions to improve efficiencies, and participate in developing recommended actions.
  • Track employees’ progress on assigned work.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, and training of new detailer teammates.
  • Stay updated on technological developments in detailing methods and equipment, making appropriate recommendations to management.
  • Assist in the performance review process and recommend salary adjustments for assigned detailing personnel.
  • Produce reports as requested by management.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Sales Service Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting from an accredited school or college or equivalent.
  • At least four years of experience as an Advanced/Senior Detailer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree from an accredited school or college.
  • Thorough knowledge of NRF’s detailing system (RebarCAD) & Navision.
  • General supervisory skills or supervisory training.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to creatively motivate detailers.
