About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technical details, construction documents, and collaborative project teams while building a career in the commercial door and hardware industry.

Responsibilities

  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine door, frame, and hardware requirements
  • Prepare accurate door and hardware schedules (submittals) for customer and architect approval using industry-specific software
  • Assist with entry-level detailing projects under the guidance of experienced Detailers and management
  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and contract requirements to ensure accurate product selection
  • Review and incorporate approved change orders while communicating project impacts as needed
  • Provide technical support to project managers, sales, purchasing, and operations teams
  • Develop proficiency with detailing software and DH Pace processes while supporting the overall project team
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete projects within established timelines

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an office, business, or administrative environment
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or willingness to learn
  • Basic knowledge of commercial doors, frames, and hardware is preferred but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to earn Door and Hardware Industry Associate (DHIA) certification within six months of hire
