Dessert Bakery Chef

About the role

Work alongside talented and passionate culinary professionals to compose and scratch-bake desserts like cookies, cakes, pies, and more in our state-of-the-art facility. Creativity, variety, and ownership are central to this role, with daily menu changes, trial opportunities for new recipes, and catered events to showcase your work. You’ll have strong support from your team while enjoying a high level of autonomy from the outset, with pathways to grow into leadership and management roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of desserts from scratch, including cookies, cakes, pies, and other baked goods
• Contribute to daily menu changes by creating and testing new recipes while maintaining tried-and-true favorites
• Participate in catered events to trial new ideas and present your work
• Collaborate with a team of culinary professionals in a state-of-the-art facility

Requirements

• Experience baking in a professional setting, preferably high volume
• Dessert baking experience preferred
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Schedule

• Full-time hours with a 5:00 am start time
• Monday through Friday

Location and relocation

This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance. You must live within 45 minutes of Epic’s Campus in Verona, WI, or be willing to relocate.
