Desktop Support Technician (Travel In Seattle)

About the role

A local financial company in Hillsboro, OR is hiring a Desktop Support Technician (Travelling in Seattle area) for a great long term opportunity!

Responsibilities

• Resolve Tier 1 and 2 technology issues received via IT ticketing system, and resolves or forwards to a designated IT team member
• Handle escalation requests in a timely manner
• Format, install, set up, image and maintain desktop and laptop computers based on end user specifications in a VDI environment
• Follow technical documentation and identify gaps, making recommendations for process improvement
• Train and mentor less experienced Desktop Support Technicians or temporary employees/new hires
• Pack and process e-waste in accordance with department procedures and policies
• Maintain current knowledge of computer technology and make recommendations on new types of equipment and operational methods based on business needs
• Troubleshoot and support the client side of our VDI environment
• Maintain and adhere to our asset management policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive/travel to the different branch locations throughout the Seattle surrounding areas
• 3 years of IT Support experience with a mid-to-large size org (more hardware heavy preferred - will be imaging)
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Active Directory (GPO needed)
• Working knowledge of Intune/SCCM and knowing how to navigate is preferred
• Familiarity with ITIL processes
• Proficiency with physical install and break down of workstations and workspaces
• Must be willing to submit to a soft credit check and background check

Pay

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $39.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
