Desktop Support Technician
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician with strong technical troubleshooting abilities and a customer-focused mindset. This role provides both remote and onsite support to end users, requiring excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktop and laptop systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues.
- Support device deployments, upgrades, migrations, and imaging activities.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and basic network-related issues.
- Assist users via phone, email, ticketing systems, and in-person support.
- Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions accurately.
- Support printers, cables, peripherals, and other end-user technology.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of desktop support, help desk, or technical support experience.
- Experience supporting modern desktop operating systems in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with ticketing systems and service management processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment as needed, and work in various physical environments for extended periods.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with user account administration and access management.
- Knowledge of desktop imaging and device deployment processes.
- Experience supporting printers and other peripheral devices.
- Familiarity with desktop migrations and hardware refresh projects.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
