About the role

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join a team of IT professionals providing in-house technical support for PC hardware and software. You will work with desktops, laptops, network connectivity, Windows software, and special projects involving new technology and complex problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Assist personnel with PCs, servers, networks, printers, software, and phones
  • Package, test, deploy, update, and troubleshoot software
  • Create and maintain desktop images
  • Perform routine network and PC installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and issue resolution
  • Set up new users in systems and remove/disable access for departing employees
  • Analyze desktop hardware and software processes for efficiency and needs
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Coordinate upgrade of desktop equipment and software
  • Maintain ticketing system for prioritizing tasks
  • Escalate or delegate issues to other IT members as required
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for personnel with IT questions or tasks
  • Manage Active Directory and Exchange users and groups
  • Maintain phone system users, teams, and call flow logic
  • Grant/revoke access to various internal and external systems
  • Train personnel on system and tool usage
  • Follow PCI compliance guidelines

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT experience
  • Technical experience with:
    • VOIP Phone Systems (Fuze preferred)
    • CRM/ERP (Netsuite preferred)
    • Automated Software Deployment
    • Virtualization Technologies (VMware, VirtualBox, HyperV)
    • Windows Desktop and Server OS
    • Active Directory
    • O365 Exchange and Azure AD
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • DNS and DHCP
    • Ticketing Software (Zoho Preferred)
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification
  • Strong problem analysis and resolution skills with logical troubleshooting progression
  • Ability to shift between and prioritize tasks
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
