About the role

The New Jersey Judiciary Information Technology Office is seeking an individual to work on the Central Office Technology Services (COTS) team. This position supports the Central Office desktops, laptop, mobile and printer environments, as well as Central Office specific Group Policy and Active Directory environments for 1200+ users.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy operating system images to Central Office users and deploy software using SCCM
  • Provide end-user level 1 and level 2 support
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware related issues
  • Configure and secure server file shares
  • Create and configure Ricoh scan folders
  • Configure printers on print server
  • Create and configure SharePoint sites
  • Support and manage permissions on SharePoint sites
  • May be required to work non-traditional work weeks, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a field related to computer science, information technology, or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, business analytics, data analytics, and cybersecurity
  • One year of professional experience in analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, resolving technical problems, testing, defining business requirements, training, or installing computer systems applications
  • One year of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Administration strongly preferred

Benefits

The New Jersey Judiciary offers a strong opportunity for growth. Salary range for this position is $72,027.61 to $122,100.38 for Schedule A, and $72,027.61 to $115,995.38 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $72,027.61 to $122,100.38 for Schedule A, and $72,027.61 to $115,995.38 for Schedule B.

Schedule

This position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Physical Presence

Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

Driver's License

Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

Authorization to Work

Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
