About the role

The Desk Side Project Technician supports new construction initiatives, associate/department moves, and new technology implementation activities at Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, Florida. The role involves reviewing and recommending new technology, testing technology, and deploying end-user equipment for new services, facilities, and department renovations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technology support for new construction initiatives, associate/department moves, and new technology implementation activities.
  • Reviews and recommends new technology, tests technology, and deploys end-user equipment for new services, facilities, and department renovations.
  • Supports patient-facing entertainment systems, performs PC upgrades/replacements, equipment moves, hardware installations, technology configuration & deployment, and provides roll-out support for locally installed software solutions.
  • Collaborates with other IS teams to provide advanced Desk Side technology support.
  • Engages and coordinates with hardware and software vendors to repair/support technology components in a timely manner.
  • Participates in after-hours support activities as required.
  • Accurately documents tickets for instances of hardware installation, and removal.
  • Pairs with Service Desk to transfer knowledge to Tier one for improved First Contact Resolution.
  • Provides on-premise support for all Nemours locations as assigned.
  • Performs equipment relocation as needed.
  • Maintains strong expert-level knowledge & understanding of current operating systems, network, printing, and clinical workflows.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years experience required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills required.
  • Strong Operating System understanding required.
  • Quality craftsmanship with wire management expertise is expected.
  • Strong PC level technology expertise, imaging, and troubleshooting is expected.
