Designer (Transmission)

About the role

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is seeking a mid-level designer to join our dynamic team. This position will involve a variety of design and drafting tasks supporting overhead and underground transmission and distribution line projects.

Responsibilities

• Design underground power cable, routing, development of system plans, grounding details, conduit details, plans and profiles, structures
• Prepare bill of materials and electric schematics based on guidance from the project engineer
• Occasional drafting and design support to other groups, including substation and industrial

Requirements

• College degree in an acceptable curriculum or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design
• A minimum of 10 years of concentrated computer-aided drafting experience or sufficient CADD knowledge supplemented by industrial, construction or construction management
• 3D CADD experience (MicroStation or AutoCAD) is beneficial
• Proven effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proven excellent level of interpersonal skills
• Ability to work individually and on a team
• Detail oriented and possess a high level of organizational skills

Qualifications
