Responsibilities
- Play an active role as part of the team on educational renovation and new construction projects, including exterior modernizations and interior projects, with an emphasis on construction administration phase.
- Work closely with Principal and Project Managers.
- Produce drawings and other documents for all design phases, preschematic design through construction documents.
- Assist in preparation of reports, sketches, submittal review, and RFI’s for projects in construction administration.
- Cook up and communicate with vendors, consultants, and contractors.
Qualifications/Skills
- Must have a B.Arch/M.Arch from an accredited school of architecture; working towards architectural licensure is desirable.
- Must have proficiency in AutoCAD. Revit/Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop) desirable.
- Experience working with design documentation, construction drawings, with a strong emphasis on detailing.
- Prior experience in all project phases is desirable.
- Prior experience on New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) projects or other public projects is desirable.
- Prior experience on single or multi-family residential projects is desirable.
- Prior experience and with New York City Department of Buildings filing and zoning is highly desirable.
- Self-motivated, energetic, a flexible team player, able to work on multiple projects independently and within a team and able to manage time effectively.
- Ideal applicants have strong communication skills with an eagerness to learn.
- Applicant must be able to legally work in the USA.
