Designer, Sr FP

About the role

This role supports our Chicago market and is open to a fully remote candidate. The primary responsibilities include overseeing project design progression from inception to completion, developing a comprehensive design plan to meet schedules and budgets, participating in team and on-site progress meetings, understanding and following all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications, and ensuring AHJ requirements and procedures are followed.

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in the design of fire alarms or low-voltage systems
• Previous experience working in Revit and AutoCAD
• Prior large project design experience, especially in data centers
• A commitment to providing exceptional customer service, maintaining cutting-edge industry knowledge, and pre-planning and executing tasks with great detail
• NICET Certification preferred
• Experience with Navisworks, Revizto, or other BIM tools preferred

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with strong adherence to deadlines
• Team-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment

Skills

• Revit and AutoCAD proficiency
• Understanding of fire alarm and low-voltage system design
• Experience with data center projects
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and specifications
• Experience with BIM tools (Navisworks, Revizto)

Pay

$35.00 - $48.00 per hour, plus bonus
