Designer/Sales Specialist In-Store

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to design customized storage and organization plans in a clear and professional manner.
• Drive all available services with each customer interaction: In-Home Designing, In-Home Organizing, installation, financing, and loyalty programs.
• Focus on closing sales efficiently to build repeat and referral business.
• Maintain clear communication with Managers and Support Center partners to complete projects from inquiry to installation and achieve sales goals.
• Lead the sales floor and perform other tasks or duties in partnership with Managers.
• Stay current with The Container Store training, selling techniques, product knowledge, promotions, processes, and philosophies.
• Actively lead and participate in the daily maintenance of the custom space area and visual presentation of the store.
• Serve as a brand ambassador by enthusiastically driving, motivating, and supporting company initiatives and modeling professional behaviors.
• Proficiently and consistently use company tools and email.

Requirements

• College degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of sales and clientele experience preferred.
• Design experience and spatial intelligence.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the required dress code.
• Knowledge and passion for trends in custom closets and the retail industry.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely.
• Commitment to working scheduled hours with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Ability to make strategic decisions in the best interest of customers and the company.
