About the role
Keystone Engineering is currently seeking experienced E&I Designers to join our Nassau Bay team. This is a full-time, office-based position with occasional site visits required.
Responsibilities
- Understand drafting requirements for the discipline.
- Adapt to Client Drafting Standards and Specifications for assigned projects.
- Understand designs for any system within the discipline once design guidelines and system criteria are established.
- Ensure constructability, operability, and maintainability of the design within the discipline for assigned projects.
- Provide comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective technical input into design related to the discipline.
- Prepare detailed design drawings within the discipline as project deliverables.
- Provide continual guidance to drafters within the discipline for assigned projects.
- Communicate and coordinate with Lead Designer to promote smooth, accurate, and scheduled completion of deliverables.
- Maintain and organize a Job Data Book containing all pertinent design information for assigned projects.
- Review drawings within the discipline regularly for completeness, quality, and adherence to standards.
- Ensure all drawings have been properly checked and backchecked.
- Prepare and/or direct the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal.
- Maintain awareness of project schedule and budget.
- Assist with Project Audits when required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 5–10 years of experience.
- Understands facilities drawings, cable routing, details, cable tray routing, cable schedules, motor starter schematics, I/O lists, panel design, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in CAD (preferred).
- Previous Oil & Gas (O&G) experience (preferred).
