Responsibilities

  • Research global market trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, and competitive inspiration to inform seasonal concepts.
  • Develop sketches and design ideas that support the seasonal product line and present concepts to internal partners.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, production, technical design, sourcing, visual merchandising, and marketing to support seamless product execution.
  • Work with production teams to build tech packs and clearly communicate design intent, fit, and quality expectations.
  • Participate in fit sessions, review feedback, and revise sketches and design packages based on priorities.
  • Create and manage presentation boards and other design materials to keep projects organized and on schedule.
  • Balance multiple seasons and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Identify inconsistencies in data or results and take action to support strong outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience in apparel design, preferably with women’s woven tops or similar product categories.
  • Strong understanding of silhouette, fit, construction, fabrication, color, trims, and sewing techniques.
  • Ability to translate trends into commercially relevant product concepts.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience creating tech packs and supporting product development from concept to production.
  • Experience presenting design concepts to leadership or other stakeholders.
  • Background in a retail or apparel environment with exposure to seasonal product cycles.
  • Comfort working onsite and contributing to a highly collaborative team culture.

Skills

Pay

The pay range for this role is $25 - $57 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
