At ONEOK, you’ll contribute to delivering energy products and services that power progress while gaining hands-on designer experience within the natural gas gathering and processing team.
In this role, you'll develop and update pipeline and plant instrumentation drawings, create 3D models, design lot plans and elevation drawings, and generate bills of material to support project execution. We’re looking for someone with natural gas industry experience working with CAD Worx Plant and Structure. Success requires a collaborative mindset, strong modeling and planning skills, and the ability to work closely with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Interpret complex sketches, redlines, specification outlines, or logic diagrams to prepare advanced-level designs of systems, structures, equipment, plant components, or assemblies.
- Create complex design drawings from general flow diagrams, including piping isometric drawings for construction-related activities using Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
- Develop advanced-level design drawings for drainage, grade plans, and structural elements from site proposals, surveys, and basemaps using CAD software.
- Produce detailed design drawings from general schematic and equipment drawings using CAD software.
- Coordinate and manage layout design and associated specifications, including any design or specification changes.
- Generate pipeline alignment drawings from preliminary surveys and topography.
- Verify fabrication and construction via field inspections.
- Perform interdisciplinary review of drawing sets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or technical school certificate.
- Experience in the use and function of design tools and office equipment.
- Previous advanced design and drafting experience.
- Experience with natural gas industry and CAD Worx Plant and Structure preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of and ability to apply design codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in NavisWorks software.
- Ability to utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Map 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and CADWorx.
- Ability to apply basic arithmetic, geometry, trigonometry, and decimals/percentages.
Drafting Certification preferred.

Pay
Expected Salary Range: $84,000.00 - $126,000.00
