Designer/CADD Technician
About the role
This position emphasizes design and plan set preparation of residential, multi-family, and commercial projects. Work activities may include grading, pipe networks, alignments, profiles, sections, and redline drafting for conceptual, preliminary, final design drawings and perform site inspections.
Responsibilities
- Provide drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining AutoCAD Civil 3D engineering drawings that compile to create a set of permitable plans.
- Prepare designs from general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams or schematics.
- Prepare working drawings from conceptual plan, to PSP or Development Plan, final engineering documents and construction record drawings.
- Cook up with other team members including engineers, managers, administrative staff and construction staff members.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience with emphasis in land development projects.
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred to create surfaces, alignments and profiles but not required.
- Willingness to assist with a wide range of project tasks and work with multiple project managers.
- Strong interest in all phases of Civil Engineering including land development, utilities, water resources, and construction.
- High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to ask for additional direction and assistance when needed.
- Willingness to perform site inspection for construction projects within our client service area.
