About the role
This candidate must produce accurate and timely drawings/specifications while conforming to client requirements in a fast-paced environment. The position demands strict diligence to priorities and attention to detail, with the ability to design and/or draft internal office layouts/furniture based on specific requirements. The role involves close collaboration with the Sales department during the quoting process and requires staying up to date on internal changes that may impact design layouts or the customer base.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and timely drawings/specifications.
- Orchestrate written documentation; interpret audio, photographic, and/or video documentation in various formats.
- Work closely with the Sales department on the quoting process.
- Maintain knowledge of internal changes affecting design layouts or the customer base.
- Manage stress levels while meeting crucial deadlines.
- Learn quickly, think independently, and make sound decisions.
- Organize the flow and direction of multiple forms of communication.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills, juggling multiple tasks with little to no direct supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD.
- High level of proficiency in Windows Office suite and AutoCAD.
- Structured approach to organizing communication flow.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated, creative, results-oriented, flexible, and resourceful.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Relocation to Richmond, Virginia is required.
