About the role
Oats Overnight is in the middle of some major packaging redesign work, and we need a designer who can both execute with precision and bring real creative energy to what comes next. This role is the connective tissue between our brand book and everything consumers actually see — on shelf, online, and in market.
Responsibilities
- Leverage our brand book to translate design concepts across all flavor varieties, limited editions, and new product launches.
- You'll own the full process — from initial concept to production-ready mechanicals — including dielines, file prep, color management, and printer handoffs.
- Use AI as a creative tool: Leverage AI image generation tools to concept, iterate, and produce visual assets such as food photography across marketing, packaging exploration, and campaign ideation.
- We expect you to be fluent in the existing tools and be the first to know about new ones.
- Concept packaging for our FID (Flavor in Development) program, where we launch new SKUs every month.
- Help develop creative concepts that take our brand architecture into new categories.
- Create and maintain all digital packaging renders for our site, Amazon, and retailer/marketplace pages.
- Concept and produce show-stopping retail displays that turn heads and meet specs. You'll own the creative and the production file, generating 3D renderings.
- Create and maintain digital marketing content for brand stores, PDPs, PLPs, enhanced marketing content, and broader marketing creative.
- Work alongside our creative team to help manage and art direct shoots for packaging and marketing assets.
Requirements
- 5+ years of graphic design experience with meaningful work in packaging and/or brand identity — CPG, food & bev, beauty, or supplements preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred.
- A portfolio that shows you can concept and execute. We want to see shelf presence thinking, brand systems, and evidence that your work actually made it to production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (required); InDesign a plus.
- Solid understanding of print production — file prep, color management, dielines, and vendor communication.
- Experience with Asana for digital design workflows.
- Bonus: Keyshot, Cinema 4D, or After Effects for 3D renders and motion.
- Strong typography, layout, and color instincts — you can feel when something's off.
- Comfortable moving fast across multiple projects without losing detail.
- Proactive communicator — you flag issues early, bring ideas without being asked, and follow through.
- Someone that can partner and influence at all different levels.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a fast moving environment.
