Designer
About the role
The Designer is an electro-mechanical CAD professional responsible for supporting product design and engineering projects within the Air Treatment division. This role focuses on creating detailed design models, supporting engineered-to-order products, and ensuring accurate documentation for both manufacturing and customer use.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D CAD designs for product assemblies, including piping layouts and sheet metal components
- Create and maintain documentation packages such as drawings, manuals, specification documents, and bills of materials
- Support engineering change requests and process customer-specific design modifications
- Ensure accuracy and revision control using PLM systems (e.g., Windchill)
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to support production needs
- Maintain and prepare technical documentation for customer deliverables and product manuals
- Manage design schedules and prioritize tasks based on production and project timelines
- Ensure all production documentation is current, accurate, and available ahead of manufacturing needs.
Requirements
- A high school diploma required; an associate degree in Engineering Technology preferred
- 2–3 years of CAD design experience in a product manufacturing environment

Preferences
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as Creo (preferred), Solid Edge, and 2D AutoCAD
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Understanding of design tolerances, welding symbols, and electrical control symbols
- Ability to manage revision control and documentation accuracy using PLM systems
- Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with Windchill PLM systems and change management processes (PR/CN/CT)
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes
- Understanding of compressed air systems, airflow, piping, and electrical control design
- Experience working with engineered-to-order products.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- Full-time onsite role based in West Chester, PA
- Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Occasional overtime may be required based on project
