About the role

Crate and Barrel Designers help customers visualize home design trends and build long-term relationships by guiding them through furnishing projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and provide enriched customer interactions by promoting programs and leads.
• Conduct customer outreach, develop design packages to brand standards, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Use digital tools and technology during in-store and in-home consultations to bring customer visions to life.
• Lead design consultations in person or via email, phone, and virtual.
• Deliver projects within determined timelines and maintain product presentation excellence.
• Collaborate with store and design teams to support business goals.

Requirements

• Possess a clear understanding of the brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy by channel.
• Ensure full understanding and awareness of all product information, including characteristics, care information, and industry trends.
• Deliver individual sales, KPIs, and service goals, and engage customers on the sales floor by demonstrating selling skills.
• Actively listen to customers to identify products that best meet their needs and communicate company loyalty services.
• Support and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
• Develop new and lasting relationships with customers through networking and clienteling.

Qualifications

• Understand basic design functions including spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, and interior design styles.
• Have excellent, effective, and timely communication skills and the ability to translate the brand vision and customer needs.
• Be proficient in technology such as 2D and 3D tools, Google suite, video conferencing, and iPad.
• Stay updated on current design trends and be able to adapt quickly to changes in the business.

Skills
