About the role
Crate and Barrel Designers help customers visualize home design trends and build long-term relationships through in-store and in-home consultations.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales and provide enriched customer interactions
- Create elevated designs for customers using preferred design tools
- Conduct customer outreach and develop design packages
- Ensure timely project delivery and adhere to timelines
- Understand and communicate brand aesthetics and merchandising strategies
- Stay updated on product information and industry trends
- Engage customers on the sales floor with selling skills
- Network and build lasting relationships with customers
Requirements
- Understanding of basic design functions including spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, and interior design styles
- Excellent, effective, and timely communication skills
- Strong affinity for technology (2D and 3D tools, Google suite, video conferencing)
- Ability to stay up to date on current design trends
Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant experience in Furniture Sales/Home Decor Design or retail/customer service
- Experience working one-on-one with clients and recommending solutions
- Proficiency in Google platforms and virtual communication
- Experience with design tools preferred
