About the Role

The Product Designer helps bring licensed accessories to life by assisting Designers and Category Managers with all aspects of design and development. This includes trend research, concepting, building presentations, and sample development, ensuring new and unique styles reach the market weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate and interpret ideas into product concepts.
  • Partner with design, sales, and licensing leads to define and bring concepts to life.
  • Develop finished product from initial ideas.
  • Maintain an active pulse on the market, documenting categories in-store and understanding trend cycles, product execution, and competition.
  • Monitor consumer feedback to surface relevant design ideas and solutions.
  • Leverage design tools (WGSN, Edited, blogs, social media) for trend research.
  • Manage the product and sampling process through the PLM system (Product Lifecycle Management).
  • Review product samples with Designers, providing vendor feedback and updating specs/instructions to meet final product expectations.
  • Generate product development instructions (tech packs) for manufacturing partners to create quality samples that meet cost targets.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience in graphic and product design, with a focus on bags.
  • Customer-centric design eye and a high-quality aesthetic.
  • Design and product development experience in accessories and/or apparel.
  • Passion for fan culture and pop culture product.
  • Self-starter: motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign, with the ability to concept ideas with minimal instruction.
  • Versatile in Mac and Microsoft products.

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion/Industrial Design or equivalent experience.

Schedule

Flexible work-from-home schedule: 4 days in-office and 1 day remote. Schedules may vary based on deadlines and projects.
