About the role

The Designer & Art Director is responsible for concepting, designing, and executing on-brand visual solutions across marketing channels, including digital, print, social, and web. This role defines the visual and artistic direction of campaigns, translating data, insights, and business goals into compelling, high-performing creative. This role partners closely with copywriters and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver innovative campaigns while leveraging metrics, testing, and optimization to improve performance.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with internal partners and stakeholders to define business and creative content needs, translating objectives into effective, on-brand creative solutions.
  • Translates business objectives, audience insights, and performance data into cohesive creative strategies and executions.
  • Leads ideation and collaboration with designers, copywriters, and cross-functional agency and internal teams to develop innovative campaign concepts and visual approaches.
  • Owes and governs the visual and artistic direction of campaigns across all touchpoints.
  • Manages complex creative projects end-to-end, from concept development through final delivery and launch.
  • Designs, produces, and refines creative assets across channels, including hands-on coding for performance marketing and advertising initiatives.
  • Safeguards and integrates creative execution across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Analyzes campaign and business performance metrics to optimize creative effectiveness across B2C, B2B, and B2B2C audiences.
  • Conducts research and continuously iterates on designs to align with best practices, brand standards, and evolving client needs.
  • Provides clear status updates and maintains consistent communication with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment, timelines, and quality execution.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.
  • 5+ years experience creating advertising and marketing collateral for an agency, media company, or a national brand.
  • Experience and successful track record of collaborating in cross-functional organizations and within creative teams (writers, agencies).
  • You must have a portfolio demonstrating your design work.

  • Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information.
  • Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace.
