DESIGNER 2

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. This is a full-time, 1st shift role with up to 25% travel required. Relocation assistance is not available.

About the Role

Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as CAD, CAM, or CATIA. Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposals. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups to ensure ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and adherence to contractual specifications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience or Associate’s degree or other 2-year technical degree in a related discipline and 1 year of experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team.
• Proficiency in cable routing.
• Strong work ethic, analytical skills, and communication skills.
• Familiarity or interest in database tools or systems used in engineering environments, especially those that help relate data from various sources, is a plus.
