About the role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer II to join a collaborative engineering team supporting civil survey and drafting projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong AutoCAD experience who enjoys creating accurate technical drawings, collaborating with engineering professionals, and contributing to high-quality infrastructure and design projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Support civil survey drafting and engineering design projects.
• Prepare plans, layouts, and construction drawings based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver accurate and timely designs.
• Review drawing quality and ensure compliance with drafting standards.
• Gather technical information and incorporate project updates into drawings.
• Provide technical support for drafting activities and assist junior drafters when needed.
• Resolve routine drafting issues while maintaining project schedules.
• Travel up to 25% when required.

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of CAD drafting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and drafting principles.
• Experience in at least one of the following disciplines:
• Civil/Structural
• Mechanical/Piping
• Electrical/Instrumentation
• Ability to work independently on routine assignments and collaboratively on complex projects.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with civil survey drafting or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D.
• Experience supporting engineering or utility projects.
• Ability to mentor or provide technical guidance to junior drafters.
