About the role

The Commercial Designated Managing Broker will oversee eXp Commercial Brokerage operations in New Jersey. This role involves supporting agents in delivering exceptional real estate brokerage services, ensuring compliance with state license laws, and managing various operational aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts training to enhance agents' knowledge and understanding of contract, risk management, licensing, and state real estate laws
  • Promptly responds to agents' requests for assistance
  • Effectively consults and engages with eXp Commercial advisors and others in solving complex transaction issues
  • Performs contract review and approvals to ensure legal and contractual compliance
  • Responsible for the administration and management of eXp's State Trust Account according to state law
  • Collaborates with the Director of Commercial Brokerage Operations and eXp's legal department to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensures the implementation of the eXp Risk Management Program and demonstrates risk management tools to eXp Commercial advisors
  • Defends the company's position at the state level in response to Real Estate Commission complaints
  • Manages and implements ongoing enhancements to and compliance with company-wide and individual state commercial brokerage operations manuals
  • Supports innovation in how the company can efficiently support its growing state advisor base in terms of brokerage operations
  • Mediates issues between eXp Commercial advisors and eXp Realty agents when required
  • Consistently engages with advisors on a monthly basis and tracks these engagements
  • Achieves the goal of attracting advisors to the eXp Commercial brand and documenting these efforts
  • Coordinates the distribution of corporate guidance to advisors through regular personal and group communication

Requirements

  • Licensed real estate broker in both New York and New Jersey
  • Proven experience in commercial real estate compliance activities, including a deep understanding of legal obligations of real estate professionals under state and federal law, and Department of Real Estate Rules & Regulations
  • Experience managing a large commercial brokerage firm, preferably from an operations or compliance perspective
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of the organization
  • Highly collaborative and capable of working effectively with internal partners to achieve successful outcomes
  • Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems using sound judgment
  • Skyslope experience is preferred
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the state
  • A bachelor's degree is typically required, though a high school diploma or GED is sufficient
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience

Pay

The total pay for this position starts at $90,000 in our lowest geographic cost of living market and up to $95,000 in our highest geographic cost of living market, depending on various factors such as location, experience, skills, and training.
