About the role
Mains’l Services is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities and those aged 65 and older by providing them with meaningful, self-directed living experiences in their homes and communities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in delivering person-centered care in both hourly and 24-hour supported living services.
- Develop and implement individualized annual support plans that align with each person’s goals, preferences, and strengths.
- Train, coach, schedule, and develop your team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Communicate and collaborate with case managers, guardians, and other professionals to maintain comprehensive care coordination.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety standards.
- Manage resources responsibly and meet budgetary goals.
Requirements
- To qualify (per MN 245D requirements), you must meet ONE of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, or health + 1 year direct care experience supporting persons with disabilities or individuals age 65 and older.
- Associate degree in related field + 2 years direct care experience supporting persons with disabilities or individuals age 65 and older.
- Diploma from an accredited institution in a related field + 3 years direct care experience supporting persons with disabilities or individuals age 65 and older.
- 50 hours of relevant training + 4 years direct care experience supporting persons with disabilities or individuals age 65 and older.
- 1-2 years of manager experience preferred
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid MN driver's license & reliable transportation with insurance
- Ability to pass a DHS background check
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, or health OR Associate degree in related field OR Diploma from an accredited institution in a related field OR 50 hours of relevant training.
- Experience: 1-4 years of direct care experience supporting persons with disabilities or individuals age 65 and older.
- Manager Experience: 1-2 years of manager experience preferred.
- Age: 18 years of age or older.
- License: Valid MN driver's license & reliable transportation with insurance.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a DHS background check.
