Design/Trend Specialist
About the role
The Trend & Design Associate supports the National Marketing Department by designing and executing planograms for bi-annual refreshes and new showroom locations, ensuring optimal product placement and customer engagement. They also collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to successfully open new branch showrooms, work with the graphics team and external vendors to produce graphics and marketing materials, and coordinate with the board production team.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute planograms for bi-annual refreshes and new showroom locations
- Create or update existing floorplans using Google SketchUp, adhering to brand standards and enhancing the customer experience
- Read and adjust architectural floorplans as needed
- Strategically develop showroom category plans by determining spatial planning and product placement
- Absolutely ensure accurate and timely completion of showroom deliverables while meeting established objectives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to successfully open new branch showrooms
- Work with the graphics team and external vendors to quote and coordinate production of graphics and marketing materials
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned branch showrooms, monitor and upkeep
- Coordinate with the board production team by providing necessary specifications for the board production process
- Occasionally travel to out-of-state branch locations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Interior Design, Architecture, Marketing, or a comparable discipline
- Relevant professional experience as an Interior Designer, Space Planner, or Retail Designer
- Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines
- Experience in visual merchandising, including the development of planograms and showroom layouts
- Proficiency in planogram software
- Proficiency in 3D visualization and 3D modeling
- Working knowledge of Google SketchUp
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving skills

Pay
This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $20 to $23 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $49,400 and $56,800 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
Schedule
Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM
