Responsibilities
- Coordinate a blank slate product redesign for Abridge.
- Partner with design leadership to identify and implement enhanced programs and processes for better operational effectiveness.
- Lead crucial operations planning such as team rituals, onboarding, resource allocation, and facilitating internal communications.
- Maintain systems that support team growth and collaboration across design disciplines.
- Oversee shared design asset management to ensure consistent usage.
- Engage with external vendors to enhance team capacity while ensuring quality outcomes.
- Drive project intake and resource planning within a collaborative product environment.
- Facilitate retrospectives and health check-ins to promote continuous improvement.
- Participate hands-on in daily processes to ensure tangible contributions to Abridge's design efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in design operations, especially in high-growth tech environments.
- Proven track record of building and scaling operational systems from inception to realization across multidisciplinary teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of design and product development lifecycles from initial research to delivery and iteration.
- Experience in managing design tool assets and libraries, ensuring brand consistency and efficiency.
- Vendor and contractor management capability with a focus on quality and collaboration.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to interface across various levels of seniority.
- Comfort in fast-paced environments and the ability to solve problems in real-time.
