Design Engineering Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and advice in the areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, and execution of field tasks.
• Plan and conduct routine technical or engineering‑related assignments.
• Provide resolution to routine technical or engineering‑related problems.
• Develop and recommend procedures and methods.
• Evaluate, select and apply technical techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment to make adaptations and modifications.

Skills

• Experience in Process Operations or Maintenance.
• Experience with pellet presses or walking beam sintering furnaces.
• Experience with spare parts management, interfacing with Maintenance Craft and Operations personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria.
• Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
• Advanced problem identification and problem‑resolution skills.

Pay

Salary: $80,168.40 – $90,000, with potential annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline; total compensation varies based on qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
