Design Engineer - Premier PV

About the role

A design engineer supporting the development and documentation of eBOS products such as combiner boxes, load break disconnects, and harness assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Aid in creating and updating 2D/3D CAD drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Support design updates, installation guides, and technical documentation under guidance from senior engineers.
• Address basic production issues and participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and other DFx initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, quality, and production to ensure design accuracy and readiness.
• Maintain compliance with internal standards and applicable codes (NEC, UL, IEEE) as directed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline (ABET-accredited).
• 0–2 years of engineering experience; internships or co-op experience acceptable.
• Basic proficiency in CAD tools and familiarity with engineering documentation practices.
• Exposure to NEC, UL, or similar standards preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
