Design Engineer III - Control Systems

Responsibilities
- Provide essential administrative processes and technical knowledge.
- Perform work listed and serve as an Area Lead on assigned projects or moderately complex engineering assignments.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques to a medium set of difficult assignments.
- Develop and review specifications, including design criteria.
- Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting.
- Assign work to teams, monitor, and manage the work.
- Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex engineering problems.
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience.
- A recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Basic job requirements include learning and applying knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
- Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials.
- Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs.

Market Rate
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
