About the role

Advanced Atomization Technologies (AA TECH) is a joint venture between Parker Aerospace and GE Aviation, creating advanced fuel nozzles and related products for commercial engine platforms, including aerospace and aero-derivative engines. AA TECH's team of experts designs, assembles, tests, and supports products, offering a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product specifications, performance requirements, and existing manufacturing capabilities to create designs.
  • Perform moderately complex design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of components, subsystems, and systems using engineering principles and analytical tools.
  • Develop detailed designs by using sketches and transfer functions provided by others, investigating design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specification requirements, and cost-defining recommendations.
  • Prepare or direct preparation of product layouts, detailed drawings, and assembly drawings, coordinating with designers or drafters and interpreting customer and functional requirements.
  • Generate reports, procedures, or change proposals based on engineering principles and company standards.
  • Lead and support field investigations, collaborating with aftermarket partners on receiving, logging, documenting data, and closing customer information gaps on returned fielded hardware.
  • Define, plan, and execute investigative sequences of tests and inspections, tabulating and summarizing data and test and inspection results.
  • Review, document, and summarize conclusions, establishing technical course of actions required to address findings.
  • Support Design for Maintainability objectives, develop new aftermarket overhaul and repair processes, and support Leading Indicator Program objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering field.
  • 6 or more years of prior industry experience, with aerospace industry experience preferred.
  • Society of Manufacturing Engineering (SME) or Mechanical Engineering (ASME) certification desired.
  • Ability to effectively function in cross-functional teams, communicate, and present information to team members, team leaders, and top management.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • General knowledge of aerospace industry or similar industry products and legal and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing environments.
