Design Engineer I

Job Requirements

• Provide engineered drawings for HVAC control systems.
• Review specifications and contract drawings for assigned projects.
• Size control valves, dampers, air flow stations, and other components for HVAC systems.
• Design systems with typical DDC control lines such as Schneider Electric, Tridium, or similar.
• Write and understand the sequence of operations for HVAC control systems, and assemble submittals and O&Ms for projects.

Work Experience

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or other STEM field with 1-3 years' experience in relevant field.
• 2+ years' experience in controls design engineering OR 5+ years as a controls technician.
• Sound knowledge of electrical circuits, HVAC, and controls required.

Skills

• Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Able to deal with a large volume of work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
