Design Engineer - Grain
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our Material Handling, Structures, and Specialty team! This position will be based in either Paris, IL, or Omaha, NE.
Responsibilities
- Support Product Improvements — Enhance existing products by improving performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost; troubleshoot issues and implement design updates.
- Drive New Product Design — Contribute to concept development, design, prototyping, validation, documentation, and release of new products that meet customer, manufacturing, and market requirements.
- Collaborate Across Teams — Work with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and other stakeholders to solve technical problems, participate in design reviews, and deliver integrated design solutions.
- Support Key Functional Areas — Provide engineering support to Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, R&T, and Technical Service by supplying technical data, resolving product issues, and ensuring design intent through production.
- Create CAD Models & Drawings — Develop 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using Creo.
- Perform Engineering Analysis — Conduct design calculations and analyses to ensure robust, reliable product performance.
- Support Testing & Validation — Coordinate and execute testing on concept and prototype builds to validate design intent and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or agricultural engineering or related technical field, required.
- Mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to deliver innovative products.
- Solid modeling proficiency and understanding of mechanical design and engineering best practices, utilizing 3D modeling for various materials and manufacturing processes.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Plus if you have
- Three to five years of experience in design or product engineering.
- Creo and Windchill experience.
- Hands on experience in fabrication/assembly.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in the agriculture industry.
- Ability to be proactive and independent.
- Ability to organize work and effectively manage a variety of projects at the same time, while meeting deadlines.
Pay
Your Compensation And Benefits Expected annual salary for this role will be $70,000 - $90,000, plus eligible for an annual bonus. This is dependent upon job related knowledge, experience, and skills.

You will be working a hybrid role (Monday - Thursday in office, and Friday as a flex day) based out of either Paris, IL, or Omaha, NE.
