Design Engineer – CAD/CREO (Cape Canaveral, FL)

We are looking for a Design Engineer to support a global aerospace company. In this role, you will work closely with MGSE engineers to provide component or portions of system designs for handling, lifting, testing, assembly, and transportation of mechanical and electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Use CREO to develop plans, drawings, models, revise and initiate formats for parts, assemblies, and installation engineering.
• Create new parts, drawings, BOMs, assemblies, simplified reps, and shrinkwraps.
• Support team members with design knowledge.
• Complete layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices (ASME Y14.5).
• Prepare complete production detail drawings.
• Complete design modifications to improve product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in design engineering.
• Experience using a 3D CAD system (Creo, NX, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Experience with machine tool design or tool modification.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s Degree.

$55/hr - $63/hr

Schedule

• 11-month contract (extensions are likely).
• 40-hour-per-week (4-day 10-hour shifts per week).
• Onsite role in Cape Canaveral, FL.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee.
