About the role
Design Engineer position with a design services company specializing in mission-critical systems, based in Ashburn, VA.
Responsibilities
- Develop, identify, coordinate, and track project requirements.
- Coordinate detailed telecommunications pathway designs to support inside and outside plant cabling infrastructure, including fill calculations and BIM.
- Identify, write, and respond to Requests for Information (RFI).
- Produce coordinated detailed design and construction drawings in AutoCAD or REVIT based on project requirements and specifications.
- Create and manage cable run lists and system labeling.
- Identify products, create Bill of Materials, and develop project documentation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience.
- Good experience with 2D design using AutoCAD or Revit.
- Experience in structured cabling projects including inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP).
- B.S. in Engineering or related field.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance in the future.
Pay
$100,000 - $115,000 (based on experience).
