Responsibilities
- Interpreting customer supplied drawings to define customer needs
- Performing calculations to ensure designs are of the highest quality and longest life
- Creating parts, assemblies and drawings using Solidworks 3D CAD software
- Creating part numbers and bills of material in Teamcenter product lifecycle management software
- Working with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to ensure designs are in line with factory capabilities and core competencies
- Providing engineering support to machinists and assemblers on the shop floor
- Executing engineering changes to legacy products
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree
- Experience with the selection and implementation of power transmission components in machine design
- Experience designing industrial machinery (rotating equipment a plus)
- Proficiency using Solidworks 3D CAD software
- Familiarity with EPDM Product Data Management software
- A working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience creating part numbers and bills of material
