Job Responsibilities
- Designing custom solutions using the item machine building kit using the item Engineeringtool
- Transfer drawings into company enterprise resource planning system (ERP-System) to create quotes for customers
- Provide technical support and specialize in the item Engineeringtool
- Work with the sales team to provide best solutions for customers and participate in meetings
- Prepare customer orders for production
- Quality control of peer designs and production documentation
- Perform administrative tasks and communicate between the headquarters in Germany, item LLC, and distributors
- Maintain CAD files
- Provide technical and product training as required
Requirements
- College degree with a major in engineering or a comparable degree
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience with CAD Software (Solid Edge / Solidworks / Inventor, etc)
- Experience with the metric system is beneficial but not mandatory
- Analytical skills and a business-focused approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- A high level of integrity and work ethic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics NAV
