Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate alternative design layouts, providing recommendations based on technical and programmatic tradeoffs.
  • Utilize engineering principles to generate precise, high-quality design documentation and review-ready deliverables.
  • Support design verification activities and resolve technical challenges encountered during integration and testing phases.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with government Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • Must have a BS with 5-7 years; MS with 3-5 years or a PhD with 0-2 years in Engineering or Industrial Design (aligned with eCRAFT Design Engineer III labor category requirements).
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS clearance.
  • Proven experience delivering engineering solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) systems, including performing trade studies, refining concepts, and planning for system integration.
  • Strong ability to create design documentation, such as engineering drawings, interface specifications, and technical data packages.
  • Experience working with manufacturing, test, and systems engineering teams to transition designs from concept to production.
  • Proficiency with modern design and simulation tools utilized in mechanical, structural, or electrical/electronic design.
  • Capability to assess the impact of evolving requirements, performance constraints, and cost/schedule adjustments on designs.

Equal Pay Act

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation. Min: $83,448.65
Max: $200,525.86
