Join a dynamic team as a Design Engineer, developing innovative system components and assembly designs with a focus on prototyping, stress analysis, safety, and cost-effective solutions. This role spans the entire engineering process from design to production.

Responsibilities

  • Design system components and assemblies with a focus on aesthetics, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct prototyping and stress analysis to ensure design robustness.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to request quotes and approve components.
  • Prepare and approve technical drawings and documentation, including bill of materials and revisions.
  • Oversee the engineering process from design through to manufacturing, installation, production, and support.
  • Engage in hands-on manufacturing of design prototypes.
  • Contribute to system engineering, standard design modifications, and installation drawings.
  • Provide engineering support during installations and follow-up activities.
  • Assist with sales demonstrations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or an Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and measure accurately using a ruler and calipers.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and ability to use hand, power, and machine tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Skills

  • Passion for design and automation.
  • Experience with CAD and automation.
  • Hands-on approach to building and testing prototypes.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Work Environment

The work includes 75% CAD design and involves being on the manufacturing floor to ensure parts fit and function correctly. Once projects are built and tested, they are dismantled for shipment and may require your involvement in customer installations. $38.00 - $38.47/hr.
