Responsibilities
- Design foundry tooling, patterns, and core boxes using Creo CAD software.
- Develop tooling solutions for no-bake and cold box molding processes.
- Support tooling quotation activities and new tooling development projects.
- Analyze and resolve casting defects through tooling and process improvements.
- Perform flow simulation analysis using SolidCast or similar software.
- Review machining drawings and apply GD&T principles.
- Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing personnel, pattern makers, and suppliers.
- Provide technical guidance during tooling build and implementation activities.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in foundry engineering, tooling design, casting manufacturing, or related industries.
- Experience designing foundry tooling, patterns, and core boxes.
- Strong Creo or similar CAD modeling experience.
- Experience with casting simulation software, preferably SolidCast.
- Ability to read machining prints and understand GD&T.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of no-bake and cold box foundry processes.
- Experience with casting defect analysis and resolution.
- CNC machining knowledge.
