Design Coordinator I - Sr

Responsibilities

• Contact external customers within one working day and schedule an appointment (if required) for the customer to meet with a Designer, collecting design information during the call.
• Interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies related to customer requests.
• Provide customers with information on the tasks they must complete to receive service on the requested date.
• Manage Design resources within a geographic area, assigning each Designer to a primary and secondary geographic area to match workload.
• Monitor each Designer’s calendar to enable effective and efficient appointment scheduling.
• Communicate regularly with Designers regarding assignments, schedules, and questions related to specific customer calls.
• Communicate periodically with Network Line groups to expedite work when possible to meet customer‑requested service dates or handle special requests.
• Identify and rectify the root cause of customer complaints and/or inquiries as appropriate.
• Apply working knowledge of AM/FM‑DFM and Maximo as they relate to construction applications.
• Review and update Maximo backlogs for the Distribution Engineering Department.
• Identify deficiencies, analyze alternatives, and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a member of the Storm Response Team for restoration efforts, providing support to Damage Assessment and/or Logistics functions.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Entergy Transmission or Distribution experience.
• Minimum 1 year of Maximo & CCS experience.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliverables in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work with multiple levels of the organizational structure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience/training in scheduling resources or maintenance and construction practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and database applications.
• Desired: Knowledge of Maximo; GDT; AMFM DFM; Storm Assist; Power BI; CCS; and Distribution Line construction, maintenance, and materials.
• No specific certificates, licenses, etc., required.
